Feidaizu(stout-hollow legs)li tripods are the type of artifacts commonly found among different archaeological cultures situated in the eastern section of the Northern Great Wall regions during the Shang Dynasty.Although there are differences in the form of these tripods in different regions, the duration of the growth, decline, disappearance, and revival of this type of artifacts corresponding to the expansion of the Shang culture represent a similar trajectory across different regions. The cultural transmission embodied in these li tripods reflects the communication and interaction between different communities in the northern edge of the North China Plain and the Shanxi-Shaanxi Plateau.During the Late Shang Dynasty, the community who used this type of li tripods often overlapped spatially with those who wore cloud shaped gold earrings, reflecting the cultural commonalities of different archaeological cultures in the eastern section of the Great Wall region.
