In 2019,the Ri wo tse microlithic locality was found during a fieldwork conducted in the Ngari district in the western Tibetan area.This research employs typological and quantitative statistical methodologies to analyze stone products from this locality.The stone artifacts includes cores,wedge-shaped cores,blades,microblades,points,awls,choppers,and a variety of scrapers.The preliminary result shows that the site might have been a stone tool manufacturing workshop.The Ri wo tse locality dates back to about 7200-6000 BP during the Holocene Climatic Optimum.The discovery of these microlithic materials is of great significance for enhancing our understanding of the microlithic industry in prehistoric Tibet.
