From January to March 1997,the Xi'an Academy of Cultural Relics Conservation and Archaeological Research(formerly known as the Xi'an Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeological Research)conducted an archaeological excavation at the Xiangjiaxiang site in Xi'an,Shaanxi Province,unearthing a large number of clay seals dating to the Qin Dynasty.Among them,a total of 234 clay seals of the Qin Dynasty were excavated from pit no.H6,providing rich content and reliable physical materials for studying the administrative system and geographical divisions of the Qin Dynasty.They are also valuable materials for investigating the evolution of ancient writing,calligraphy,and ancient sealing techniques.
