The oracle bone inscriptionsof Zhouyuan hold significantvalue for historical and palaeographic research. While most characters havealready been explained and defined, this article proposes new interpretationsfor three previously under-studied characters.According to the author's interpretation, the character'()'on the H1 1:28 should be interpreted as'bi(枇)'and read as'pin(玭)',referring to'zhuyu'(珠玉)or pearl and jade, which werecommonly used as sacrificial offerings in ancient China. The character'()'on the Hl 1:41 should be interpretedas'lie'((马)).Additionally, the character'()'on the H1 1:87 is considered to consist of twocomponents,'ding'(鼎)and'yi'(異).Given that'yi'(異)serves as the phonetic component, thischaracter should be read as'yi'((钱)representing a special kind of bronze tripod.
