In cooperation with the construction of Dafanpu-Longkou motorway, the Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region conducted a large-scale excavation at the Fuluta cemetery from 2017 to 2018.In 2018,a total of 99 tombs and one sacrificial pit, dating from the late Warring States period to the early Western Han Dynasty, were excavated. This excavation uncovered more than five hundred artifacts, including ceramics, bronzes, iron implements, jade objects, stoneware, bone objects, and glassware. The discovery of these burials, particularly those from the Western Han Dynasty, demonstrates that the area adjoining to the Fuluta cemetery, located east of the Great Wall built by King Zhaoxiang of Qin,was under the control of the Western Han Dynasty during its early rule. The cemetery is predominantly associated with the Qin culture, but it also contains burial objects related to the Zhao culture, northern steppe culture, and the Xirong people. This finding is of great significance for the study of multicultural communication and integration.
