In 2022,a joint archaeological team from Northwest University,the Shaanxi Academy of Archaeology,and other institutions conducted an excavation at the Shangmiao location within the Xitou site in Xunyi County,Shaanxi Province.Over ten Shang and Zhou-dynasties tombs were excavated,primarily dating to the Late Shang and Early Western Zhou periods.The abundant unearthed relics are relatively abundant offer significant archaeological evidence for studying settlement patterns and social evolution during the Shang and Zhou dynasties in the Jing River Basin.
