The Anti-monopoly Governance Path of Large Digital Platform Strangled Mergers and Acquisitions
In order to strengthen market forces and eliminate potential competition,large digital plat-forms frequently carry out strangled mergers and acquisitions by virtue of capital,technology and other advantages."Sausage-cutting" strangling mergers and acquisitions will not cause significant changes in the market structure in the short term,but in the long run,they will have a negative impact on fair competition in the digital market,product innovation and consumer welfare.In China,the anti-monop-oly law is facing difficulties in the prevention,identification and post-supervision of strangling mergers and acquisitions.In view of this,China's anti-monopoly law enforcement agencies should combine the characteristics of digital economy and stifling mergers and acquisitions,and at the same time,adjust the regulatory thinking under the concept of "inclusive and prudent",take multiple measures to realize the long-term supervision of digital platforms,and ensure the stable and healthy development of digital economy.
