The emerging financial science and technology has had a profound impact on the development of traditional finance and brought new opportunities for industrial structure upgrading.On the basis of constructing a comprehensive index of industrial structure upgrading,we utilize the panel data of 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) in China from 2011 to 2021,and based on the two-way fixed effect model,we explore the impact of fintech on indus-trial structure upgrading,and reveal its potential impact mechanism from the perspective of green in-novation.The study shows that Fintech can significantly upgrade industrial structure,and it still holds after replacing the explanatory variables and endogeneity test.There is significant regional heterogeneity in the impact of fintech on industrial structure upgrading.Fintech promotes industrial structure upgra-ding through green innovation.Accordingly,corresponding policy recommendations are proposed.
