With the thriving development of the IoT industry,the demand for high-quality information technology innovation talents in China is increasingly urgent.However,most universities have not yet built information technology innovation laboratories,and the existing ones suffer from issues like single function and low utilization rate.To adapt to the information technology innovation industry develop-ment trends in China,and based on the current characteristics of the information technology innovation industry,this paper proposes the following recommendations:strengthen information technology inno-vation education ideologically to let students understand the importance of information technology inno-vation industry development and their social responsibilities;integrate information technology innova-tion education into traditional curricula through university-enterprise cooperation to form synergy;en-courage teaching reforms,enrich the functions of information technology innovation laboratories,and build comprehensive laboratories catering to the IoT industry ecosystem,thereby providing students with comprehensive information technology innovation practical conditions.By doing so,universities could cultivate information technology innovation talents more effectively and strongly support the na-tional information technology innovation industry development.
