The construction of innovative and entrepreneurial university is an inevitable choice for culti-vating applied talents and an important way to cultivate brand characteristics and competitive advanta-ges.Zhanjiang University of Science and Technology has made initial achievements in the construction of an innovative and entrepreneurial university,but it is also faced with such problems as lagging con-struction concept,single source of innovation and entrepreneurship funds,insufficient results of inter-disciplinary cooperation,and imperfect organization and mechanism of technology transfer.In order to break through the construction difficulties and summarize and draw lessons from the construction expe-rience of Stanford University and UESTC,It tries to promote the construction of innovative and entre-preneurial universities in stages and steps from the aspects of establishing the construction concept of serving the society,demand-oriented technology transfer organization,integration of multi-party inno-vation and entrepreneurial resources,and construction of evaluation index system of innovative and en-trepreneurial universities,thus opening up a new path for the high-quality development of private uni-versities.
