The Academic Competition(AC)in universities and colleges is the key to leveraging the edu-cational role of professional courses and improving the quality of applied talent cultivation.Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education(IEE)provides important support for improving the quality of applied talents cultivation and building an innovative country.The construction of New Liberal Arts(NLA)promotes disciplinary integration,technological integration,and cultural integration through inherit-ance and innovation,intersection and integration,collaboration and sharing,and puts forward new re-quirements for the cultivation of applied talents.Promoting the collaboration between AC and IEE is an important means to achieve the goal of the NLA,and a key measure to improve the training system for applied talents.We explore the elements of collaborative education between AC and IEE from the per-spectives of discipline layout,curriculum design,teacher development,and project incubation,and an-alyze the mechanism and path of collaborative education between AC and IEE from the aspects of con-structing collaborative education mechanisms and platforms,improving students'basic knowledge,professional skills,and practical application abilities,enhancing students'enthusiasm for participating in AC,and creating an dense atmosphere for IEE,building the innovation and entrepreneurship project incubation system.Furthermore,some countermeasures are proposed to optimize the collaborative ed-ucation between AC and IEE.
