The DARPA Challenge is a series of competitions organized by the U.S.Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency.By transforming the needs of the military into defined challenge goals,DARPA Challenge achieves the goal of gathering community power together to solve military prob-lems.This paper summarized the organization and development of DARPA series events,compared it with China's innovative events.The paper also analyze the differences between two countries in terms of organization departments,participants and internationalization,support power,event influence and event objectives,and put forward policy suggestions for china-future innovative events.
