Research on the Measurement of Energy Consumption Intensity in Various Provinces of China
Energy consumption intensity has always been an important issue in China's economic devel-opment.With the rapid development of the Chinese economy,energy demand continues to increase,and energy consumption intensity has always been at a high level.Taking 31 provinces(or cities)in Chinese Mainland as the research object,this paper adopts multi-dimensional indicators,such as the proportion of GDP,the added value of the secondary and tertiary industries in GDP,the permanent population at the end of the year,the total investment of foreign-invested enterprises,R&D funds of industrial enterprises above designated size,the proportion of coal consumption in total energy con-sumption,and the proportion of electricity consumption in total energy consumption,to build an indi-cator system for evaluating energy consumption intensity.Secondly,the article has adopted three methods:entropy method,principal component analysis,and factor analysis for comprehensive evalua-tion,quantitatively analyzing the role of various influencing factors,comparing and analyzing the differences in energy consumption intensity changes in different industries,and targeted reducing Chi-na's energy consumption intensity.Finally,the article analyzes the changes in energy intensity in the manufacturing industry from the perspectives of upgrading industrial structure and changing economic growth patterns,and proposes relevant countermeasures and suggestions to provide reference for policy formulation.
