This study aims to explore the current situation of the integration and development of the new materials industry and equipment manufacturing industry in Jilin Province,in order to meet the transformation and upgrading needs brought about by economic development and technological pro-gress.This article first analyzes the current development status of the new materials industry and equip-ment manufacturing industry in Jilin Province,including industry scale,development speed,and exist-ing applications.On this basis,the integration motivations of new materials in the equipment manufac-turing industry were explored from the high correlation between the two industries and the potential of new materials in enhancing the competitiveness of the equipment manufacturing industry.By learning from successful case studies,strategies and suggestions for the integrated development of the new ma-terials industry and equipment manufacturing industry in Jilin Province have been further proposed.
