Research on the Impact of Patent Cooperation Network Embedding on Firm Continuous Innovation:A Case Study of China's Listed Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Enterprises
In the context of open innovation and sustainable development,Chinese enterprises urgently need to use cooperative relationships to help achieve the sustainability of innovation. Therefore, based on the theory of social network and collaborative innovation, the patent application data of pharmaceu-tical manufacturing enterprises listed in China are empirically studied to explore the impact of patent cooperation network embedding on the continuous innovation of enterprises. The results show that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between structural embedding and enterprise continuous in-novation,and relationship embeddedness negatively affects enterprise sustainable innovation. At the same time, relational embedding can also be used as a moderating variable, which indirectly negatively moderates the relationship between structural embedding and enterprise sustainable innovation.Net-work density can strengthen the inverted U-shaped relationship between structural embedding and en-terprise continuous innovation, but network density has no significant moderating effect on relational embedding and enterprise continuous innovation. In view of this conclusion, enterprises can adjust their innovation strategies in a timely manner according to their position and environment in innovation coop-eration activities,so as to promote the sustainable innovation of enterprises.
