Subjective Norms and Entrepreneurial Intentions:An Explanation of Family Size and Political Ties
Although the predictive effect of subjective norms on entrepreneurial intentions has been veri-fied by domestic and foreign scholars, the mechanism of subjective norms on different types of entre-preneurial intentions remains unclear. This study uses family size and political ties as moderating varia-bles to explore the specific influencing mechanism of subjective norms on different entrepreneurial in-tentions,and select 240 effective samples from 2350 random respondents for empirical analysis. The results showed that subjective norms positively affected entrepreneurial implementation intentions and entrepreneurial goal intentions.Family size negatively moderates the relationship between subjective norms and entrepreneurial goal intention. When there is political ties, subjective norms are more likely to promote individuals'entrepreneurial implementation intention, while when there is no political ties,subjec-tive norms are more likely to promote individuals'entrepreneurial goal intention. The research findings have the following contributions:First, the measurement content of entrepreneurial willingness is enriched through different types of willingness;Secondly, focus on the subjective norms to verify the pre-factors of different types of entrepreneurial intention,in order to deepen the research content of the mechanism of relat-ed factors on entrepreneurial intention. Finally, based on family size and political connection, the article fur-ther expands the content and boundary conditions of planned behavior theory.
