An Analysis of Factors in the Generation of the University-wide Entrepreneurship Education in American Universities Based on the Push-Pull Theory
Based on the push-pull theory model, this paper analyzes the factors that influence the devel-opment of holistic entrepreneurship education in American universities. The analysis points out that the pull factors affecting holistic entrepreneurship education in universities mainly include students'inter-est and demand for entrepreneurship and the influence of peer entrepreneurship activities, while the push factors include regional economic drivers and limitations of business school functions. However, once universities integrate the development of entrepreneurship education into their overall development plans or visions,it will promote the cultivation of entrepreneurial spirit and ability as the norm of the school. In this case, the general push-pull factors will undergo"transformation".Its effectiveness needs to be re-evaluated and analyzed so that it no longer follows the general push-pull law to affect holistic entrepreneurship education, resulting in a situation of"functional failure".Against this background,it is of great significance to clarify the orientation of holistic entrepreneurship education and the subject status of students in the process of entrepreneurship education, which is the starting point and end point of promoting holistic entrepreneurship education.
