Research on the Spatial Pattern and Evolution Characteristics of Coupling and Coordination between Digital Technology and Smart Cities:Empirical Data from 102 Smart Cities in China
With the rapid development of digital technology,it has become particularly important to a-chieve efficient collaboration between urban governance, economic development, and social services through the construction of smart cities,in order to enhance the ability of cities to respond to various challenges.Taking the panel data of 102 smart cities in China from 2011-2021 as the research object, this paper uses the coupling coordination model,Dagum Gini coefficient, nuclear density and other methods to reveal the status quo and differences of the coupling and coordinated development of digital technology and smart cities. The research results show that the coupling and coordination effect of cit-ies in the eastern and central regions is relatively good, while the western region is relatively poor; From a national perspective, the overall difference in the level of coordinated development between dig-ital technology and smart cities is showing a downward trend, with significant differences in the level of coordinated development in the western region; The gap between high coordination cities and low coor-dination cities is gradually narrowing, and there is a clear polarization trend in the coupling and coordi-nation level in the western region.Based on this,it is proposed to establish a cross regional collabora-tive innovation system, improve corresponding detection and evaluation mechanisms,in order to a-chieve the coordinated development of digital technology and smart cities in China, and promote the digitalization and sustainable development of Chinese cities.
