Can Participation in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Programs Lead to Non-Cognitive Skill Enhancement?Empirical Analysis Based on CIEES Data
Innovation-driven development has brought new vitality to social development and put forward new requirements for talent training.Non-cognitive ability has become an important part of talent abili-ty structure in the 21st century.In recent years,college students’innovation and entrepreneurship training program,as an important measure to cultivate innovative talents in colleges and universities,has attracted much attention.Whether its implementation effectively meets the requirements of social development for non-cognitive ability needs to be verified by facts and evidence.This study uses the da-ta of CIEES to investigate the effect and degree of innovation and entrepreneurship training programs on non-cognitive ability.The results show that participation in innovation and entrepreneurship training programs can bring value addition to non-cognitive ability,but the degree of impact on each dimension is different,and there is heterogeneity in gender,major and institution type.The depth of participation has significant influence on the increment of non-cognitive ability.When the number of projects was 2,the improvement of non-cognitive ability was the most significant.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the implementation of innovation and entrepreneurship training programs from the four aspects of students,teachers,schools and society.
