Tourism economy is an important pillar to promote the steady growth of national economy and expand domestic demand.Correctly grasping the relationship between digital technology,upgrading of tourism industry and tourism economic growth is the key point to promote the improvement of new quality of tourism productivity and high-quality development of tourism economy in China.Based on the data of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from 2012 to 2022,this paper analyzes the media-ting effect of tourism industry upgrading between digital technology and tourism economic growth.The research results show that digital technology significantly promotes the growth of regional tourism e-conomy,and digital technology promotes the optimization and upgrading of regional tourism industry.Tourism industry upgrading plays a partial intermediary role between digital technology and regional tourism economic growth.Digital technology has the strongest driving effect on tourism economy in An-hui province,while the driving effect on Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shanghai is relatively small.Finally,ac-cording to the research conclusions,the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures are put for-ward.
