With the booming development of the digital economy, its impact on the job market is in-creasingly significant. The development of the digital economy has not only promoted the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure, but also profoundly changed the employment structure and promoted the overall improvement of employment quality.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2021,the panel entropy weight method is used to comprehensively evaluate the de-velopment level and employment quality of the digital economy. On this basis, firstly, the panel data regression model is used to study the impact of digital economy on employment quality.Secondly,on the basis of the benchmark regression model, the intermediate variables are introduced to test the in-termediary effect of employment structure through Bootstrap.Thirdly, the spatial Durbin model is used to analyze the spatial spillover effect of digital economy on employment quality.Finally,30 prov-inces in China are divided into three regions to explore the regional heterogeneity of the impact of digital economy on employment quality, and the robustness test and endogeneity test are passed. The results show that:the development of digital economy significantly promotes the improvement of employment quality, and the employment structure plays an important intermediary role. There is a significant spa-tial autocorrelation between digital economy and employment quality, and there is a significant spillover effect of employment quality in geographical space. The impact of digital economy on employment qual-ity in different regions is heterogeneous, and the digital economy in the eastern region can significantly improve employment quality; However, the development of digital economy in central and western re-gions has not been able to effectively promote the improvement of employment quality. Therefore, based on the above model analysis and conclusion, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to improve the level of digital economy development and employment quality across the country.
