Discussion on the Teaching Status and Improving Methods of Professional English Course for Engineering Majors under the Background of Emerging Engineering Education
The construction of new engineering disciplines is an important action plan for engineering education reform proposed by China in the context of new scientific,technological,and industrial development trends.The article takes the professional English course offered by engineering colleges as an example to analyze the characteristics of the course and the problems existing in the teaching process.It explores teaching improvement methods and strategies from three aspects:updating teaching concepts,innovating teaching methods,and enhancing the personal abilities of teachers,in order to improve the teaching quality and effectiveness of professional English courses and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality and composite engineering talents in China under the development of globalization.
