Private universities are an important component of higher education in China.In the new era of educational development,it is of great significance for private universities to break through the limitations of their own development,comprehensively improve the stability of their education and teaching level and personnel structure,and enhance their core competitiveness.Starting from the game between the sustainable development goals of private undergraduate universities and the current situation of homogenization,this article analyzes the deep-seated reasons for the trend of homogenization from three aspects:policy driven,cultural driven,and profit driven.On this basis,we will seek a sustainable development path for private universities from the perspective of differentiated positioning and distinctive development.Finally,under the guidance of the education ecosystem theory,explore the strategies for cultivating the characteristics of private undergraduate universities from three dimensions:government,schools,and society.
