Application and Improvement of Team-based Learning in Clinic Practice Teaching of Infectious Disease for Medical International Students
Objective:To investigate the application effect and existing problems of TBL teaching in the internship teaching of infectious diseases for international medical students.Methods:International medical students of the Grade 2012,2013 and 2014 from Sun Yat-sen University were randomly divided into experimental group using TBL teaching and control group using traditional teaching method.Closed-book examination and questionnaire survey were conducted at the end of the probation.Results:The test scores,self-learning ability,problem-solving ability and team cooperation ability of the experimental group were better than those of the control group,and the satisfaction of the teaching model was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:TBL teaching is helpful for improving students'interest in learning,cultivating credit analysis problems,problem solving,communication skills and teamwork spirit,and improving the effect of teaching.
