The compulsory education curriculum plan(2022 version)clearly states in the implementation of the curriculum that comprehensive teaching activities such as thematic and project-based should be actively carried out,and effective means should be used to ensure the effective promotion of project-based learning.Teachers should have a correct understanding of the positive role of project-based learning in primary school mathematics teaching,and take effective measures to ensure effective implementation in subject teaching.The article takes the practical application of project-based learning in primary school mathematics teaching as the starting point,introduces the value,significance,and application strategies of project-based learning in primary school mathematics teaching,aiming to better practice the new curriculum reform,enhance students'mathematical core literacy,and truly implement the effective purpose of subject education.
