The Difficulties and Breakthrough Strategies in Teaching Adjective Clause in Junior High School English
This article delves into the four major challenges in teaching attributive clauses:the contradiction between the deep structure and surface form of grammar rules,interference from native language thinking patterns,limitations in cognitive development stages,and the current teaching situation of context loss and meaning detachment.The article points out that these challenges affect students'accurate understanding and effective use of relative clauses.To address these challenges,teachers need to adopt targeted teaching strategies,such as building cognitive bridges,strengthening contextual teaching,considering students'cognitive development stages,and reducing negative transfer of mother tongue.Through these strategies,teachers can help students better grasp the usage of relative clauses,improve their English grammar level and language communication ability.
