A Survey on the Current Situation of Middle School English Listening and Speaking Teaching under the Backwash Effect of Language Testing
The comprehensive implementation of the automated middle school English listening and speaking exam in Ningbo since 2018 will inevitably have a positive and negative backlash effect on middle school English listening and speaking teaching.This article aims to investigate the current situation of middle school English listening and speaking teaching and learning under the background of the reform of the middle school English listening and speaking test in Ningbo City.Through a survey of 243 students and 32 teachers,it was found that current teachers are gradually emphasizing listening and speaking teaching,improving teaching quality.Students are more active in listening and speaking learning,but practice mechanically,teaching is passive and exam oriented,and teachers lack research awareness.
