Objective To understand the development intention and actual destination of anesthesiology graduates,and provide basis for talent training,career planning and employment policy formulation of anesthesiology majors.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the development intention and actual direction of anesthesiology graduates in a university in Guangxi in the past three years.Results After graduation,45 students(30.2％)studied for professional master's degrees.16 students(10.7％)pursuing academic master's degrees;64 students(43.0％)participated in standardized resident training;13 students(8.7％)were unemployed and continued to take the postgraduate entrance examination after failing the postgraduate entrance examination;2 students(1.4％)were employed;9 students(6.0％)transferred major.Conclusion The graduates of anesthesiology major have various orientations and less employment in the grassroots level.The graduates can choose the development direction by combining their individual ability and national policy.
