This article randomly sampled 266 students as research subjects and used tools such as tests an d vocabulary learning questionnaires to explore the tendency of high school students to use vocabulary learning strategies and their correlation with language ability.Research has found that:① based on the processing hierarchy theory,high school students use multiple strategies comprehensively,but tend to use formal processing hierarchy strategies to learn vocabulary,with visual repetition being the most commonly used;(2)The frequency of using strategies at high levels of semantic processing in omics has increased,with word formation being the most commonly used;(3)The use of strategies at the formal processing level is significantly negatively correlated with language ability,while the use of strategies at the semantic processing level is significantly positively correlated with language ability.
