As a core course of applied chemistry,the teaching quality of polymer chemistry is of great significance to the cultivation of students' ability and the professional certification of engineering education. Based on the concept of "student-centered,output-oriented and continuous improvement",the present situation and challenges of polymer chemistry teaching are analyzed. The reform approach of polymer chemistry teaching is discussed from the aspects of improving course objectives,optimizing course contents,perfecting teaching methods and establishing reasonable course quality evaluation and continuous improvement system.
