Research on the High-quality Development Path of Industry Characteristic Universities——Taking Jiangsu University of Science and Technology as an example
How to keep up with the regional development needs of the industry in the process of high-quality development,fully serve the major strategic needs of the country,and closely integrate applied basic research,technological innovation,and the promotion and application of high-tech achievements is a common challenge and key issue for industry-specific universities.This study takes Jiangsu University of Science and Technology,a representative university in the shipbuilding industry,as an example to analyze the common problems in the development of shipbuilding industry universities,as well as the difficulties and challenges faced by high-quality development.The main ideas for high-quality development are studied,and the main paths for high-quality development of teaching and research units in universities are analyzed from the direction of characteristic discipline construction,in order to achieve high-quality development of industry characteristic universities with advantages,characteristic integration,point and surface integration,and unity of connotation and external aspects.
