The water supply and drainage system has become an important issue that cannot be ignored in the process of urban development.In the context of the new technological revolution,"smart water management"has become an important development direction and inevitable choice for urban water engineering.In the new era,new types of civil engineering and water conservancy talents are needed by future enterprises,but the current training mechanism in universities cannot meet their needs.The article introduces the exploration and practice of talent cultivation in the field of water supply and drainage at Changsha University of Science & Technology under the background of smart water management,in order to achieve high-level talent cultivation in water supply and drainage that is oriented towards the future and leads the future.
