A Study on Group Assisted Intervention for College Students' Social Anxiety Based on Positive Cognition
Objective:To explore the intervention effect of positive cognitive behavior group therapy on social anxiety among college students.Method:34 college students with high levels of social anxiety were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group(17 cases)received a 6-week positive cognitive-behavioral intervention and study, while the control group(17 cases)did not receive any intervention. The changes in social anxiety related scale scores before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups.Result:The level of social anxiety in the experimental group was much lower than that in the control group(t=-2.440*,P<0.05).At the same time,in the pre-test comparison of social anxiety in the experimental group, the post test was significantly lower than the pre-test(t=6.946**,P<0.0 1);while no significant difference was found in the pre-test and post-test of the control group. Conclusion:Group counseling with a positive cognitive behavioral orientation has a significant intervention effect on social anxiety among college students.
