In the context of rapid globalization and informatization,vocational English teaching is no longer limited to the dissemination of knowledge and skills,but pays more attention to the cultivation of core subject competencies,emphasizing that students should possess various qualities such as innovation ability,practical ability,and social adaptability.Guided by the cultivation of core literacy,this article deeply analyzes the necessity of building a vocational English teaching system based on core literacy,and combines the current difficulties in the construction of vocational English teaching system.Targeted strategies are proposed from the aspects of cultivating target teaching resources,teaching content,teacher team,evaluation methods,etc.,in order to provide reference for the English teaching reform of vocational colleges.
