Objective:To explore the application and teaching effectiveness of the improved case teaching method in graduate medical statistics teaching.Method:Graduate students from Hangzhou Medical College in 2020-2023 were divided into a control group and an experimental group.The control group used conventional teaching methods,while the experimental group used case teaching methods improved based on active teaching and discovery teaching methods.The comprehensive evaluation,computer-based assessment,final assessment,and satisfaction evaluation results of the two groups were compared.Result:The post class questioning rate of the experimental group students was higher than that of the control group;The experimental group students have good creativity and problem depth in their homework.There was no statistically significant difference in the final theoretical exam and overall score between the two groups of students(P>0.05).Conclusion:The improved case-based teaching method is helpful in enhancing students'interest in learning and cultivating their innovative abilities.It is recommended to further promote and verify it in teaching activities.
