This article analyzes the value of applying role model education to ideological and political education for college students,points out the problems existing in current role model education,and proposes targeted countermeasures.Role model education can promote college students'profound understanding and practice of socialist core values,enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education in vocational colleges,and provide spiritual motivation for the comprehensive development of college students.In role model education,vocational colleges should shape students'rational cognition of role models,innovate role model education methods,and actively promote the transformation of role model behavior.
