Vocabulary teaching,as a fundamental component of international Chinese language education,runs through the entire teaching process.Vocabulary teaching includes various aspects such as phonetics,word meanings,pragmatics,etc.The article compares the similarities and differences between Chinese and French languages from three aspects:homophones,word formation,and pragmatic culture.It points out the issues that French Chinese learners should pay attention to when teaching and proposes targeted vocabulary teaching strategies,in order to provide reference for international Chinese vocabulary teaching.
