Objective:To explore the application effect of mentorship combined with direct observation of operational skills(DOPS)evaluation in clinical teaching of intern nurses at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University.Method:Sixty nurses who interned at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from December 2023 to April 2024 were randomly divided into an observation group of 30,and a mentorship system combined with DOPS evaluation and teaching was adopted;The control group consisted of 30 individuals who underwent routine mentoring.Compare the professional theoretical assessment scores,Mini CEX skill assessment scores,and satisfaction evaluation of teaching effectiveness between two groups of nurses at the end of their internship.Result:The observation group's professional theoretical assessment scores and Mini CEX skills assessment scores,including physical examination,humanistic care,clinical judgment and handling,communication skills,and overall performance,were higher than those of the control group.The observation group of intern nurses had higher evaluations of teaching attitudes,basic teacher qualities,student ability development,and employment guidance than the control group.Conclusion:The combination of mentorship and DOPS evaluation has certain clinical value for the cultivation of nursing interns.
