The Influence and Mechanism of Resource Allocation on the Transformation and Upgrading of Manufacturing Enterprises:Innovation Perspective
The current research on resource allocation and enterprise transformation and upgrading lacks multiple dimensions of analysis,while most of them ignore the examination of the specific role of the mechanism.For this reason,this paper tries to consider enterprise resource endowment as a whole and integrates the innovation perspective,systematically investigates the impact of resource allocation on enterprise transformation and upgrading,as well as the underlying mechanisms.Taking the listed enterprises in China's manufacturing industry from 2017 to 2019 as the research object,based on the multidimensional perspective,the enterprise resources are divided into financial resources,relationship resources,management resources and innovation resources,the enterprise resource allocation is portrayed from the two dimensions of width and depth,and the quality of innovation is taken as the mediating variable,the model is constructed to test the conduction path and mediating effect of the resource allocation on the transformation and upgrading of the enterprise.The results show that both the breadth and depth of resource allocation are favorable to the transformation and upgrading of enterprises,and that both are achieved by improving the quality of firms'innovations;compared with state-owned enterprises,the depth and width of resource allocation of private enterprises have a more significant role in boosting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises,while the impact of resource allocation on enterprise transformation and upgrading exhibits regional variations,the depth of resource allocation of enterprises in the eastern region has a stronger effect,and the width of resource allocation has a weaker effect.It can be inferred that the scientific and rational allocation of resources to form a unique competitive advantage and improve the quality of innovation is an important path for the transformation and upgrading of enterprises;promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises,the government needs to formulate a more reasonable and effective industrial policy,and implement differentiated policy guidelines and interventions;in addition,a favorable external environment,such as a superior economic base,is conducive to promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterpnses.
