Analysis on Coordinated Development of Digital Construction and Scientific and Technological Innovation Efficiency in Colleges and Universities
The entropy weighting method,global DEA-EBM model,α convergence model,β convergence model and coupled coordination model are used to measure and evaluate the digital construction level and the scientific and technological innovation efficiency in colleges and universities in China's 31 provinces from 2011 to 2021,and test the driving impact of digital construction on scientific and technological innovation efficiency in colleges and universities.The study finds that the scientific and technological innovation efficiency in colleges and universities across the country is low,with an overall downward trend,and the decline in the eastern region is far greater than that in the central and western regions;digital construction can effectively drive the scientific and technological innovation efficiency in colleges and universities and accelerate the convergence of the scientific and technological innovation efficiency gap among colleges and universities in various provinces,and the driving force for the eastern region is significantly stronger than that for the central and western regions;the coupling and coordination degree between the national digital construction and the scientific and technological innovation effiiciency in colleges and universities generally shows a steady upward trend,but the coupling value in the eastern region is significantly higher than that of the central and western regions,and the eastern region has already entered the primary coordination stage and gradually moved towards the intermediate coordination state,while the central and western regions as a whole are still on the verge of disorder,and have gradually turned to a reluctant coordination state in recent years.From this,relevant suggestions are put forward in terms of promoting the scientific and technological innovation efficiency in colleges and universities,promoting the development of digital construction,and strengthening the level of collaboration between the two.
