Driving High-quality Development of Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs)Through Digital Transformation:Based on Bourdieu's Practice Theory and Critical Realism
Drawing from extensive research on digital practices in various SMEs,a conceptual framework for the digital transformation of SMEs within the perspective of high-quality development was constructed by integrating Bourdieu's practice theory and critical realism. In the realm of reality,SMEs alter their positions in the domain of digital transformation by accumulating and possessing economic, social, cultural, and symbolic capital. In practical terms,SMEs leverage these four forms of capital to transcend their conventional habits and achieve a shift in digital practices.Ultimately, this transition connects SMEs'experiences with values associated with high-quality development.Based on these findings,it provides insights and directions to enhance digital transformation in Chinese SMEs,thereby fostering their high-quality development.
