The Green Path to a Unified Megamarket:Based on the Perspective of Air Quality
In order to explore the green path to a unified megamarket, based on urban data from 2001 to 2019,a panel regression model was used to explore the impact of air quality on market integration, and a multi-period DID model was used to explore the impact of the"Ambient Air Quality Standards(2012)"policy on market integration.Research shows that air quality improvement is conducive to the formation of market integration. This conclusion still holds true after a series of robustness tests and endogeneity tests;the promotion effect of air quality improvement on market integration is more obvious in non-urban agglomeration cities and eastern regions;the degree of commodity circulation, labor mobility and capital mobility are important channels through which air quality affects domestic market integration;further analysis found that the implementation of the"Ambient Air Quality Standards(2012)"can effectively reduce market segmentation and promote market integration. The research results are of great significance for exploring green paths of market integration, and provide theoretical and empirical evidence for local governments to promote green development and build market integration.
