An Analysis of the Current Situation and Development Paths of University Think Tank Construction in the Field of Agriculture,Rural Areas,and Farmers
University think tanks in the field of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers play an important role in analyzing,formulating decisions,and correcting policy tools related to agriculture,rural areas,and farmers.In order to promote effective integration of academic research and think tank research in the field of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers in China,this paper analyzes the current situation of think tank construction in relevant universities,summarizes their development behavior,operating mechanism,achievement level,and other aspects and characteristics.The research finds that the construction of think tanks in universities in the field of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers in China mainly relies on a group of specialized research teams and academic institutions,and the proportion of think tanks in universities in the field of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers is the highest and showing a rapid growth trend,with strong regional characteristics,they play an important role in promoting high-quality development of the agricultural industry.However,they face challenges such as limited incentives to serve rural revitalization,limited collaborative capabilities,complexity of agricultural production activities and the public welfare of rural investigations,low effectiveness of results,insufficient policy transformation,and lack of diversification and flexibility in resource and funding investment.In response to this,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed such as to leverage the advantages of agricultural disciplines,promote the reform of the achievement evaluation system,create a good ecological system,smooth channels for political services,build a community of government industry academia research alliances,build a"revolving door"mechanism,and collaborate with the New Rural Development Research Institute.It aims to benefit the construction and transformation of the think tank system in the field of agriculture,rural areas,and farmers,and better meet the intellectual needs of comprehensively promoting rural revitalization strategy in the new era
