The Action Mechanism of Digital Platform Application Affecting the Resilience of SMEs:From the Perspective of Ambidextrous Learning
To help managers understand the mechanism of digital platforms usage to copy with complex environments and turn risks into opportunities,this paper explores the impact mechanism of digital platform usage on SMEs'organizational resilience based on information processing theory and ambidextrous learning literature.A theoretical model has been constructed based on the mediating variables of ambidextrous learning and moderating variable of organizational inertia,followed by an empirical analysis of the survey data of 218 SMEs.The findings show that digital platforms usage positively affect SME organizational resilience and digital platforms usage affects SMEs'organizational resilience through exploratory learning and exploitative learning.Moreover,organizational inertia negatively moderates the relationship between ambidextrous learning and SMEs organizational resilience.The findings provide new theoretical perspectives and practical insights on how to improve the resilience of SMEs in the context of digital economy.Therefore,SMEs should cultivate and enhance organizational resilience by strengthening their application of digital platforms,while actively engaging in ambidextrous learning and reducing their reliance on past paths.
