Digital Twin-driven Smart Community Governance:Current Realities and Exploratory Pathways
Intelligent community governance is an essential issue and direction for the future development of communities in China.Digital twins can drive the iterative improvement and value release of intelligent governance capabilities,managing complex social issues within community governance effectively.Practices of community mutual aid services,such as the time bank,are becoming vital for elderly care at home,volunteer services,and health promotion.Nonetheless,these services face challenges in functional expansion and scenario upgrades.Thus,based on the analysis of the nature and applicability of digital twin technology and leveraging scene theory,this paper focuses on the intelligent upgrade of community mutual aid driven by digital twin technology,using the time bank's intelligent upgrade as a case study.It proposes a framework and pathway for the intelligent scenario upgrade of the time bank enabled by digital twins,exploring and delineating a new landscape of intelligent governance of community organizations driven by digital twins.The research reveals that digital twins can drive the iterative improvement of intelligent functions and value release,construct future scenarios through digital mirroring and mapping,and achieve the integration and interaction of physical space,information space,and twin space,as well as scenario upgrades.Digital twins empowering the time bank can effectively address challenges such as real-time monitoring difficulties,limited online space,and slow automatic responses,while extending new functionalities like hazard alerts and community collaboration.The established digital twin landscape provides a new interpretation of intelligent community mutual aid services and also serves as a reference for community governance upgrades and agile paradigm shifts in the digital age.
