Research on the Information System for Source Reduction Management of Excavated Soil Based on BIM
The growing problem of C&D(construction and demolition)waste has become a critical issue for the sustainable development of large and medium-sized cities in China. While there are many advanced C&D waste treatment technologies internationally, the composition of C&D waste in foreign countries is significantly different from that in China.Currently, there is no C&D waste recycling technology or solution that is suited to China's national conditions. To address the numerous issues brought by excavated soil in the development of China's construction industry,a comprehensive utilization classification standard for excavated soil is formulated based on the content of clay particles and sand particles. This standard is developed by considering the integrated management of excavation, transportation, and recycling.Utilizing building information modeling(BIM)technology, along with computer graphics, database technologies, and the internet of things,a comprehensive management information system is developed to reduce the source of excavated soil. This system includes five layers:access layer, business application layer, application support layer, data layer, and infrastructure layer, and comprises two main parts with six functional modules. In practical engineering applications,it can effectively solve the information asymmetry in the"excavation-transportation-recycling"process of excavated soil.It can guide the classification of debris during the excavation process and also provide plans for reducing C&D waste at the source, offering technical support for the intelligent management of C&D waste in China.
