Evolutionary Game Analysis and Empirical Testing of Carbon Trading Promoting the Green and Low-Carbon Transformation of Manufacturing Enterprises
In order to deeply explore the technological progress mechanism behind the impact of carbon trading on the green and low-carbon transformation of manufacturing enterprises from a micro perspective, this paper constructs a government-enterprise evolutionary game model, analyzes the effect and influencing factors of carbon trading on the green and low-carbon transformation of manufacturing enterprises, and clarifies the technological progress mechanism. Then, using the relevant data of China's A-share listed enterprises from 2008 to 2022,empirical analysis and testing are conducted under a quasi-natural experiment framework. The results show that:(1)Carbon trading can release the incentive effect of technological progress, effectively promote the green and low-carbon transformation of manufacturing enterprises.(2)Technological progress in factor production, emission reduction and energy utilization are the three main mechanisms for manufacturing enterprises to achieve green and low-carbon transformation.Carbon trading is mainly effective through the latter two mechanisms.(3)Improving the degree of marketization helps to enhance the technological progress mechanism of carbon trading, but increasing government subsidies is not conducive to its mechanism effect. Therefore, when promoting the construction of national carbon trading markets, the government should pay attention to the allocation and incentive role of market mechanism, open up the mechanism channels for green and low-carbon transformation of manufacturing enterprises, increase the green innovation subsidies beforehand to manufacturing enterprises, and adopt flexible and targeted subsidy plans.
