Research on the Effect of the Policy for Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region on Technology Market Expansion Based on DID Model
With the elevation of the policy for coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to a national strategy, the collaborative process in optimizing resource allocation, rational utilization of spatial patterns, and the transfer and reception of industries among these three regions has gradually deepened, leading to a steady expansion of the technology market transactions. This paper further explores the impact of the policy for coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region on the expansion of the technology market,in order to provide empirical support for promoting the high-quality development of regional economy.Integrating the policy effects, time effects, and individual effects of the implementation of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy on the region into the same analysis framework,a difference-in-differences model is constructed by using provincial panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2010 to 2021,to evaluate whether there is a difference in the trend of technology market expansion in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei compared to other regions before and after the policy implementation. The research results indicate that the policy for coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has a significant effect on the expansion of the regional technology market. However, the greater the number of scientific and technological projects implemented by large-scale industrial enterprises and the larger the input of research efforts, the more the effect of the technology market expansion is inhibited, offsetting some of the expansion effects of the policy on the technology market.Based on these findings, the following countermeasures are proposed:speeding up the establishment of a regional science and technology innovation coordination mechanism,as well as the integration of the technology market, and aligning the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development policy with regional science and technology innovation input.
