Paths for University Libraries to Collaborate with Academic Inventors to Cultivate High-Value Patents
This paper explores ways for university libraries to collaborate with academic inventors to cultivate high-value patents and promote the industrialization of research value, enhance the seamless integration of library resources with academic research.Library expert librarians can guide academic inventors to mine patent data and add implementation examples to improve the maturity of patent technology, build the legal value of patents, expand the economic value domain, and thereby leapfrog the value of the patent industry. This paper used the THz biosensor as an example to illustrate the process of increasing patent value from a technical perspective to a technical field, shedding light on how library and information work can contribute to redefining knowledge discovery, creation, incrementation, and transformation. It is recommended to build a collaborative invention and innovation subject in university libraries to cultivate an agent-free application path for high-value patents;Reform the process of university patent transformation and remove obstacles hindering the conversion of research into productive outcomes. It is to expand new tracks of library services for industry, academia and research, thereby providing answers for libraries to participate in subject innovation.
