Effect of the Construction of High-Level Scientific Journals in Guangdong Province on High Quality Development of Local University Journals:Taking Journal of South China Agricultural University as an Example
This paper aims to summarize the effectiveness of the construction of high-level scientific journals in Guangdong Province in the hope of providing references for decision-making by relevant departments and high-quality development of scientific journals.Taking Journal of South China Agricultural University(JSCA),the first batch of journal supported by the construction project of high-level scientific journals in Guangdong Province as an example,the achievements of JSCA were summarized from four aspects in the construction of publishing platform,publishing capability and publishing service,talent cultivation,and academic influence of the journal in the past three years.The findings showed that this project promoted the high-quality development of JSCA and improved comprehensively the publishing capacity and service level of the journal.JSCA achieved remarkable successes in thematic publishing.The domestic and international influences of JSCA significantly increased,especially with a rapid increase in international influence.This project promoted the rapid development of the fusion publishing of JSCA that helped the rapid dissemination of journal and papers,enhanced the cohesiveness of team and promoted the growth of publishing talents.A high-quality academic editing team that combines editing and research has been formed gradually.The construction of high-level scientific journals in Guangdong Province has promoted the high-quality development of local university journals,which has a positive and far-reaching significance for the construction of world-class scientific journals in China.
